So far for stripes over 28 no luck in my area.maybe ike you said if I put mono instead of wire I will have a chance.why is that so?Īlso I will be realizing further bluefish just because I have my frige stuffed with bluefish and stripe from the island current lol.Īlso the spot where I've been having luck finally (in a thread in surf fishing) it basically i dont know.lol it's in country club so the water that is right up to people houses. Then moments later another hit by a blue fish and another hit that was hand reeled due to a birdsnest on the reel. A few days ago I was only catching stripe bass under the 24 inch mark (catch and release) then suddenly the reel screamed and caught a nice 28 inch possibly 30 inch bluefish for the first time, it was amazing battle. I think you mean why I'm targeting them? If so it's because I like the aggressive pound for pound fight and the experience i had with them is amazing. Hello,YES-A strong 7/0-8/0 Circle Hook "OFF_SET" works very well chunking BLUES & BASS.If their are Bass mixed in with your Bluefish adventure maybe use 80-100lb Mono Leader.You may get bit off here and their but you may increase your BASS score?Why are we employing A HI-LO rig for these Blues?
